In the annals of history, humanity has perpetually grappled with dark forces that seek to sow discord and division among people. These forces often rise in the form of mercenaries, individuals masquerading as politicians and leaders, who prioritize personal gain over the collective well-being of their communities. Today, we find ourselves confronted by such figures in the Awdal and Salal regions, as well as the Gabiley District. Their actions, driven by an insatiable thirst for validation from the ethno-supremacist regime in Hargeisa, are nothing short of shameful.

Since the fall of the military regime in 1991, Somalia has battled against tribalism and terrorism, which have wreaked havoc on our nation. This turmoil was exacerbated by traitors and external adversaries who sought to exploit our vulnerabilities. A generation of youth, women, the elderly, and intellectuals fell victim to senseless violence, leaving our society in tatters. In this chaotic landscape, ignorant tribalists capitalized on the suffering of our people, collaborating with foreign powers to further their agendas at the expense of our national integrity.

Yet, amidst this darkness, glimmers of hope have emerged. Somalia is slowly but surely rising from the ashes. The recent official visit of the Prime Minister of Somalia, His Excellency Mr. Hamze Abdi, to Lascanood marks a historic moment for our nation. It is a testament to the resilience and unity of the Somali people, sparking celebrations across the globe as we collectively embrace this significant milestone.

However, this progress is undermined by the presence of a few mercenaries who claim to represent the Gadaboursi people. With a disregard for the truth, they bark like dogs eager to please their masters before even understanding the implications of their words. The critical question arises: Who do these individuals truly represent? What authority do they possess to speak on behalf of our communities? Their affiliations with the ethno-supremacist regime in Hargeisa raise serious doubts about their loyalty and intentions.

The Gadaboursi people of Awdal, Salal, and the Gabiley District unequivocally reject these mercenaries. They do not represent our values, our aspirations, or our identity. We stand proud as Somalis, unwavering in our support for our brothers and sisters in the SSC Khatoumo region. It is imperative that we assert our unity, Somalia is one and indivisible.

In these trying times, let us rally together against the forces of division. We must remain steadfast in our commitment to building a united, prosperous Somalia that honours the sacrifices of those who came before us. We are called to uphold the legacy of great men and women who fought against darkness, ensuring that their sacrifices were not in vain.

Let us denounce the mercenaries who betray our trust and stand firm in our shared identity as Somali people. Together, we can forge a path towards a brighter future, free from the shackles of tribalism and division. The time to unite is now.
