The Awdal State Movement (ASM) expresses its deep concern regarding the recent ambiguity and false propaganda propagated by the ethno-supremacist regime in Hargeisa, particularly concerning the trips undertaken by its leader, Ciro. The misleading narratives being circulated not only misrepresent the intentions behind these trips but also aim to sow discord among the Somali people.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the government of the Republic of Kenya, especially the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, for their recent clarification regarding their policy toward the unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Somalia. It is refreshing to witness our brotherly nation, Kenya, stand firm in upholding the principles of the African Union and the United Nations Charter.

By rejecting imperialistic agendas that seek to divide African nations, Kenya has demonstrated its commitment to regional stability and solidarity. This courageous stance places Kenya on the right side of history, reinforcing the importance of unity among African nations.

The Awdal State Movement, representing the voices of the Awdal and Salal regions, as well as the Gabiley District, firmly believes that it is essential for all Somalis to recognize the importance of unity in defending one another’s sovereignty. We must work together to reject divisive narratives and false propaganda that threaten to undermine our collective strength.

As we move forward, we call upon all Somali leaders and citizens to join us in fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect. Together, we can build a future that honours our shared heritage and promotes peace and stability across the Horn of Africa.
