Ayrotv.com- The Awdal State Movement stands united with the Gadaboursi people in condemning the recent attack on the UGAAS family in JigJiga, which has sent shockwaves throughout our community. This despicable act is not only an affront to the Gadaboursi people but also a blatant violation of the customs and traditions that honour our leaders and their families.
The UGAAS, as the king of a major tribe, deserves the utmost respect and honour. It is deeply unfortunate that today, a few corrupt individuals, devoid of any sense of culture and respect, have perpetrated this heinous and criminal act against a royal family. Such actions are intolerable and must be addressed with the seriousness they warrant.
We question how the regional government allowed this incident to occur. History has shown that UGAAS Rooble Doodi, the rightful owner of the house in question, hosted the late Emperor Haile Selassie on numerous occasions. Tragically, it was within those same walls that UGAAS Rooble lost his life. His family has every right to their heritage and the respect that comes with it.
The Awdal State Movement, alongside the entire Gadaboursi community, demands the immediate arrest of those responsible for this disrespectful act against the Royal family and calls for a public apology.
Furthermore, we wish to remind all parties of the brotherly relations and mutual respect that should exist among the Somali tribes in our region. It is imperative that our UGAAS and his family are treated with the dignity and reverence they deserve.
We call upon the authorities to take swift action to restore justice and honour to our community.
