Who has contributed to the social and economic fabric of our region.
Whereas,
We acknowledge the struggles and sacrifices made by our ancestors,
Who fought for our rights, identity, and the preservation of our way of life,
We honour their legacy by standing united in our pursuit of self-governance.
Whereas,
We believe that the people of Awdal have the inherent right to determine their own destiny,
To establish a government that represents our interests, values, and aspirations,
And to ensure the welfare and prosperity of our citizens.
Therefore, we declare that:
1. Awdal State shall be an independent entity, free from external control,
Committed to upholding the rights and dignity of all its citizens.
2. We shall create a democratic governance structure,
Based on the principles of justice, transparency, and accountability.
3. We pledge to promote peace, coexistence, and collaboration among all communities,
Emphasizing respect for diversity and the protection of human rights.
4. We seek to engage with the federal government of Somalia and the international community,
For the development, security of our region, and a mutual respect.
In conclusion,
We, the people of Awdal State, hereby affirm our right to self-determination,
