FM Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi welcomed a large delegation led by the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu. The delegation will hold various meetings with the country’s senior leadership.
The purpose of Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu’s visit, as the Executive Secretary of IGAD, is focused on strengthening cooperation between both sides, regional security, addressing climate change, and discussing the establishment of the Blue Economy Centre of Excellence in Somalia for the first time, as well as other regional development initiatives.
